Buying Golf Clubs Online

If price was the main focus most people would buy their golf equipment online but some are scared they will end up with golf equipment that doesn’t suit their swing. You need to know what you are looking for and you must understand your swing and body shape. The main things you need to consider are your height, arm length and swing speed. I shall consider these all individually:

Height

When determining whether a golf club is right for your height it is not only about the length of the club but also the lie of the club i.e. the angle from which the club head extends from the shaft.

You should be able to tell from your existing clubs if the length is right for you. When leaning forward from the waist and letting your hands hang down and gripping the club it should sit squarely on the turf. A good guide is arm length:

Arm Length

Let your arms fall down to your sides as you stand tall and get a friend to measure the distance between the end of your middle finger and the floor, this will give you a rough estimate of the length your club should be.

Swing Speed

So you know what length of golf club shaft to get and now need to know the flexibility of the shaft that will suit your swing. This will be based on the strength or speed of your swing.

Most golfers will need a shaft with a bit of flexibility as slower swings are helped by a flexible golf club shaft which will lead to increased yardage. The faster your swing or depending on your age you may need a stiffer shaft to enable you to hit the ball correctly and get your optimum distance. Try borrowing or renting different clubs to get a feel for what suits you before buying.

Once you have a good understanding of what golf clubs will suit your swing get yourself online and purchase some fantastic clubs at affordable prices, remember the game of golf is way more enjoyable when using the right clubs.
